About Me

When I look back at my life, I realize that Little Way Doula Services was born long before I started the doula certification process.

I grew up in a big, beautiful, boisterous family. I am the oldest of seven children, a position that instilled in me a deep seated joy for the care of others. I was given the gift of watching my mother raise her beloved brood, her patience and tenderness never lost on me. The quiet moments of her Little Way - a soft hum as she rocked a baby to sleep, a gentle laugh as she cooked dinner, a sweet hug for her oldest daughter even as she breathed through early labor contractions - were the foundation of my lifelong desire to become a wife and mother.

I received my university education in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. This was and continues to be a field I love dearly. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in private speech services!

With an unrelated degree, you can imagine my surprise when I received the unexpected calling to the field of birth work. The Lord swept in and completely upended my personal plans... in the best way possible! It was through the births of my two sons - one birth typical and to plan, the other far from it - that I discovered the call to become a doula. In my own experiences of the vulnerability and sacredness of birth,  the Lord revealed to me His heart for mothers and lit my own heart aflame!

Supporting women through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum as a doula has become a culmination of my desire to care for those in need. It is truly a privilege to meet mamas where they are at, whether they are in need of an advocate, a shoulder to cry on, a gentle touch, a good laugh, or a word of comfort. Each mother deserves support along their Little Way of motherhood. I am honored to be considered as a witness to your Little Way!

"That special power of loving that belongs to a woman is seen most clearly when she becomes a mother."
